My ankle is finally starting to get a lot better. I went to the doc a couple weeks ago and he told me that I no longer had to wear the boot. Since then my ankle has been improving by leaps and bound each day. My limp is starting to go away and people around the office have stopped calling my a gimp, thats always nice =)

Wes is Leaving L.A. =(
Wes, my good buddy from college is going to move back to Canada. We had a ton of good times throughout the years and its a total bummer that he is leaving. We met up for a few drinks after work at Joxers. Stella and shots of the Vicky special. He is going to be around for a couple more weeks so we still have a couple opportunities to get Jead up.

Boyz in the Kitchen Strike Again
Max and I were busy working and by the time we got to the food it was ransacked. A few shreds of lettuce, a lousy looking piece of meatloaf, and tubs of tasteless pasta. SCORE!!!
We opted for the classic Western Bacon Cheeseburger (NO MUSHROOMS), criss cut fries, and fries. In the end it made for a lovely birthday dinner for Max :(

Happy New Year
Whats up everyone? Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a good break. I didn't get a chance to post, plus I forgot my cable for my camera. However, I'm back and with a bunch of photos of my break. So, HERE WE GO....
I got into Atlanta late at night. I woke up the next morning and my Mom tells me Grandpa is about to die. I'm like WTF? So, I hop out of bed and race over to the next room. He was having chest pain and had trouble breathing. We called 911 and the paramedics came and took him to the hospital. After a few hours of not knowing what happened, we find out he had a mild heart attack. I was worried sick. He is 94, ancient, and at that age there isn't much you can do. He stayed in the hospital through Christmas. I hate going to the hospital. Especially after my accident, but I know that he appreciated us being there. The first day I was worried, but I knew he was getting better once he started to crack jokes and give the nurse hell. hahahahaha....
For some better news. We were staying at the Stone Mountain Park, right outside of the ATL. We took a tram to the top of the mountain and it was so damn cold. I hobbled around in the fierce wind with my sister and checked out the view.

I also got a chance to meet up with Ashley who was a designer who worked on God of War I & GoW II. It was nice seeing her and see that she was doing good. She was telling me and my sister about all of her celebrity sightings in ATL and her crazy antics. We went to Dolce and had a few drinks. One cool thing about the ristorante was they were building an exclusive bowling alley. Usually, you would have to be on the list to go up there, but since nobody was there so they invited us to go up. There were a million stairs to get up into the area, so I didn't go up b/c of my crutches. From what I was told though there were 3 lanes up there. Then if you pulled on a secret book on the book shelf, the whole wall would move back, and there another special lane. I guess this is for the A-List celebs. Then in that area there was another secret room that you could watch the lanes from a 1 way mirror. They called it the "James Bond" area. I thought that was really cool. I could imagine some kinda weird scene playing out up there like in Kingpin.

In South Carolina fireworks are still legal. Not the pussy shit they have out here. I'm talking about roman candles, m-80s, and mortars. Awesome!!! I love fireworks, so I had to stop and buy a ton of them. My cousins and I had blast shooting them off. (sorry for the terrible pun, but I couldn't resist)

And for New Years we went out to the Arsenal. Its a pretty cool bar here on the west side. I didn't feel up to spend $100 and go to some crazy party in Hollywood or anything. So I kept it pretty low key. A bunch of the guys from work came over and watched Pride fighting. Then we all went out. Jib was visiting from up North which meant I got way hammered. All in all it was a pretty fun New Years.

Its rant time. Has anyone noticed, but people are not saying good bye on the phone any more. Its pissing me off. Its like how inconsiderate do you have to be to not say goodbye. I'm sitting there having a conversation with you. I think its over by the way the conversation is leading and then all of a sudden the call has been ended. Just say good bye next time you fuck. That way I'm not sitting there on the phone like a jackass waiting for you to say good bye, only to hear the damn phone beep in my ear. Take the time for a common courtesy and mutter the words; bye, goodbye, later. This way both parties will know when the conversation is over. I guess its just one of my pet peeves, but I think people just aren't that courteous anymore. Or maybe just after visiting the south where everyone says "Hello" its more noticeable.
Finally, I was in Blockbuster in South Carolina and I saw at this at the bottom of their up coming release board.
I also went into the local EB and asked if they were taking pre-orders for the game and how it was doing. He said there is a lot of excitement about the game and the number of pre-orders has been really good. That got me fucking pumped. Seeing the release date up in the store solidified the fact that we are almost done. All of hard work is about to come to an end. Just a few more weeks of running at 110% and our baby will be set free into the world. Alright, time to take all this energy and make the game awesome.
